emotions as compass

If someone you did not know contacted you in some way and said to you, “Hello, you don‘t knowme. But I wanted to tell you that I‘ll never contact you in any way again”, you would say, “Alright”.You would not feel sad or disappointed that you would not hear from the stranger again. But if someone important to you were to tell you that, you would feel strong negative emotion. The emotion that you feel always indicates the vibrational difference between your point of desire andyour current thought. You could say that your emotions indicate the difference between your desireand your belief, or between your desire and your expectation. We like to explain that your emotions indicate the vibrational relationship between the vibration of who you have really become and whoyou‘re allowing yourself to be right now because of the thoughts you‘re thinking.

For example, when you‘re feeling proud of yourself, the feelings that you‘re experiencing are indicating alignment between the vibration, or thought, of your Inner-Being and the vibration or thought of you right here right now. When you feel ashamed or embarrassed, those feelings indicatethat you in your now are thinking thoughts about yourself that are very different from the thoughtsthat the broader part of you is having about you.

Before your emotions could be meaningful to you, before you could allow them to give you theprecise and perfect guidance that they‘re offering, you must understand that you are a being withtwo points of perspective that are continually relating to each other. When you understand that yourInner-Being, or the expanded being that you‘re becoming, stands as the furthermost culmination oflife and constantly calls you forward to that, then you begin to understand that feeling of passion oreagerness is present when you‘re allowing your movement toward your expanded Self. And youalso understand that feeling of being unfulfilled or of uneasiness, when you‘re not allowing yourmovement toward your expanded Self. There is just no way of getting around it. You must allowyourself to be the being that life has caused you to become, if you‘re to feel joy. And unless you‘refeeling joy, you‘re not allowing yourself to be that which life has caused you to become.

What are the negative and positive emotions?

If you become aware of a certain emotion, and by your becoming aware emotion dissolves,it is negative. If by your becoming aware of a certain emotion you then become the emotion,if the emotion then spreads and becomes your being,it is positive.

Awareness works differently in both cases. If it is a poisonous emotion, you are relieved of it through awareness. If it is good, blissful, ecstatic, you become one with it.Awareness deepens it.

So to me this is the criterion:if something is deepened by your awareness,it is something good.If something is dissolved through awareness,it is something bad. That which cannot remain in awareness is sin and that which grows in awareness is virtue.Virtue and sin are not social concepts, they are inner realizations.

Use your awareness. It is just as if there is darkness and you bring in light:the darkness will be no longer there.Just by bringing light in,the darkness is no longer there, because, really it was not.It was negative, just the absence of light. But many things will become manifest which are there.Just by bringing light, these shelves, these books, these walls, will not disappear. In darkness they were not;you could not see them.If you bring light in,darkness will be no longer there, but that which is real will be revealed.

Through awareness all that is negative like darkness will dissolve – hatred, anger, sadness, violence. Then love, joy, ecstasy, will , for the first time, become revealed to you.

The Saddest Man In The World

Filed under: collection — joykumardas @ 4:36 am

At the top of the tallest building in the world….

…Sat the saddest man in the world.

and inside the man was the lonliest heart in the world

and inside the heart was the deepest pit in the world

and at the bottom of the pit was the blackest mud in the world

and in the mud lay the lightest, lovliest, tenderest, most beautiful,
happy angel in the universe.

So things weren’t so bad after all.

Inner Speech Is The Secret to Success

You sometimes have to prove yourself all over again,to  your own self! One effective way to mount over your limitations and broom away persistent self-defeating behaviour is to change your inner speech.Let us admit that during most of our walking hours we are  thinking, and this thinking involves a good deal of language or self-talk.

The idea is to change this self-talk to a positive one. When you chat with yourself, say sweet words.Uncover the damaging sentences you often repeat under your breath, without ever quite realising  it.

Expose your irrationality by stating them clearly, and replace them with more realistic by stating them clearly, less punishing statements.Switch from ‘I do it all wrong’ to ‘I can finally do it right’,from ‘nobody  loves me’ to ‘they do care’,from ‘I am a loser’ to ‘I am completely competent’.

Plant inspirations in place of self-accusations.Reserve notes of praise, encouragement and courage for your inner ears.We know that words have tremendous power. One letter here and there is the difference between an argument and an agreement. The moment you reverse your inner dialoue, your emotions reverse.

The content of negativity in your bloodstream dilutes and your dying conviction in your capability revives. It’s not a surprise that a mere mental repetition of positive syllabels even without true conviction brings about sea change. Now,if a nagging voice is telling you it can’t be that simple, challenge it!

“Sincerity is  prerequisite for anything serious to happen.”

Faith comes from…

faith

WHERE  DOES OUR FAITH  COME from?Someone once asked  Baba Muktananda,”How do you know when you have done the right thing?” He replied,“By the result”.Faith comes from our experience on the path we have chosen.

Follow Your Dream with Faith & Hope

Filed under: collection — joykumardas @ 3:41 am

three trees

Once there were  three trees on a hill. They often discussed their hopes and dreams. The first said: “Someday I hope to be a treasure chest.I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems.I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see my beauty.”

The second tree said:  “Someday I will be a mighty ship and i will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world.Everyone will feel safe during the journey because of the strength of my null.”

The third tree said: “I want to grow to be the tallest and a straightest tree in the forest.People will see me on the top of the hill and will think how close I am to God and heavens.I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me.”

A few years later, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees, one woodsman said :”This looks like a strong tree,I think  I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter.,”he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree the woodsman said: “This looks like a strong tree,I should be able to sell it to the shipyard”.The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was dismayed because if they cut him down,he would never realize his dream. The woodsmen said:”I don’t need anything special,so I’ll take this one,”and he cut it down.

From the first tree, the carpenters made a feedbox for animals which placed in a barn and filled with hay.The second tree was used to make a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship carrying royalty were dashed to the ground. The third tree was cut into large pieces and stored in a dark place.

Years went by and the trees forgot about their dreams. Then one day, a man and a woman came to the barn. The woman gave birth and they placed the baby on the hay in the feedbox made from the first tree which they found in the manager. The tree realized he was cradling the greatest  treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men set off  in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and fell asleep.Soon a great storm arose and the tree didn’t think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men roused the sleeping man awake and he stood up and said “Peace” and the storm stopped. The second tree(now a boat )knew now that he had carried the King of  Kings across the water. Finally, someone came and got the third tree.It was carried through the streets and people mocked at the man who was carrying it.When they stopped, the man was nailed to the tree(now shaped like a cross)and was raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. The third tree came to realize hat it was strong enough to stand at the top of the  hill ans was as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.

So when things don’t seem to be going your way, always k now that God ha s a plan for you.If you place your trust in Him.He will give you great gifts.

Each of the trees got what they wanted, though not in the way they had imagined. We don’t always know what God’s plan are for us.Even if  His ways are not our ways, they are always the best.
